Arts & Framing in Putnam, CT is offering a 10% discount off any piece of Caroll Spinney's original artwork and prints. 

Bella's Bistro in Putnam, CT is offering a $5 "Green" Midori Martini, a Fried "Green" Tomatoes with Lobster Fra Diavolo Sauce appetizer and a dessert entitled Yummie Mummie's - Mint Chocolate Chip Cupcake.

Celebrations Shoppes & Galleries in Pomfret, CT is providing a 10% discount on select "green" merchandise and will be contributing 10% from the sale of these special items in support of The Last Green Valley, Inc.'s goal of becoming self-sustaining by 2015.  

Citizens National Bank has decorated the windows and lobbies of various branches with green lights and a unique agricultural display at the Woodstock branch.

Deb's Place, in downtown Danielson, CT provides guests the chance to win a $5 Green plate coupon potentially wrapped in with the silverware. 

Danielson Main Street is a blaze of green lights from Davis Park to the end of Main Street!  

First Niagara Bank, in Danielson, CT has switched out exterior lights with green lights, and is displaying rack cards and a sign in its window. 

Heart and Home, in Danielson, CT is creating a green light themed window display, and is developing a special promotion.  

Java Jive, in Woodstock, CT has a "Green Happy Hour" 12 oz. coffee special every day between the hours of 3 - 4 p.m. during the month-long celebration. 

Northeast Flooring & Kitchens, in Putnam, CT is offering a 10% discount on any "green" flooring purchased during the Green Light Celebration

Putnam Bank branches throughout The Last Green Valley will be adorned with green light displays. 

Roseland Cottage in Woodstock, CT has turned its garden house and road sign green, and is casting a green glow from its conservatory window. 

The Courthouse Bar & Grille in Putnam, CT is showcasing a deliciously decadent "field of greens" salad topped with grilled chicken, cucumbers, tomatoes, dried cranberries and walnuts; a freshly prepared mint mousse topped with whipped cream, and a mint chip ice cream sundae, and a coconut lime cream cake. 

The Reiki and Wellness Center of CT in Mansfield, CT is giving a Munson's 2.25 ounce chocolate bar wrapped in green paper following each completed Reiki session during the Green Light Celebration.  

Trink-et Shoppe in Danielson, CT has renamed their 50% off Winter Clearance Sale in honor of the Green Light Celebration

Ways to participate:

Create a window display using green lights.
Prominently display the Green Light Celebration Rack Cards & Signs.
Create "green" specials, like a green plate menu item, a green-tini cocktail, or a green light sales event (i.e. convert a current sale into a Green Light Sale).
Offer discounts and other over-night specials at your bed & breakfast or hotel.
Take photos and submit to: mail@tlgv.org(to be posted on Facebook and TLGV Website).

Green Light Celebration Best of Contest:

     We will be awarding for Best Town, Best Business and Best Resident  - We need your help as “spotters” to report the green lights you have seen, where they are located, and if possible to snap a pic and email it to: mail@tlgv.org

      Green light bulbs are still available for purchase at local hardware stores including Aubuchon's, Benny's and True Value, as well as at Lowe's, Home Depot and Target.  However, strings of green lights are a bit more difficult to acquire locally now that the holiday season is over -  Visit one of these online resources for a variety of green lights:  www.amazon.com, www.christmas-light-source.com, and www.save-on-crafts.com.
