Giving to The Last Green Valley                                            Donate Now

Please join us in celebrating the undeveloped character of this emerald green island of farms, fields and forests, hills and rivers in the midst of the East Coast's urban sprawl. Our organization works to enhance the region’s significant natural resources in the context of a vital economy and regional cultural identity.  Your support provides an example for others to follow. As you consider your gift to The Last Green Valley, please take a moment to reflect on our impacts.

TLGV Grant Program:  Over the past eleven years TLGV has distributed more than 3.5 million in grants to 247 projects in all 35 communities of the National Heritage Corridor.  These grants have made a difference to the region.

The Green Valley Institute:  TLGV's land use education partnership, The Green Valley Institute, exists to help National Heritage Corridor communities and citizens sustain their environment and quality of life while growing their economies.  GVI is dedicated to improving the knowledge base from which land use and natural resource decisions are made.  GVI has led hundreds of workshops and conducted numerous programs in the National Heritage Corridor communities.  GVI has had a direct impact on the permanent preservation of more than 8600 acres in The Last Green Valley.

Walktober – Experiencing and Enjoying the Region: For twenty years, TLGV has helped organize free guided hikes, walks, paddles and experiences celebrating the natural and cultural resources of the National Heritage Corridor.  Each year more than 100 free hikes and walks are offered.

Water Trails – Enhancing Recreation in the Watershed: Following the very successful 2009 Source to Sea Expedition: Connecting the Drops through The Last Green Valley, TLGV is working to increase access to the region’s rivers and waterways.

Tourism: TLGV works diligently to promote local businesses and events in the region through publication of the Visitor’s Guide to The Last Green Valley, other brochures and its website.  TLGV works to attract visitors to the region and bring significant tourism related dollars into local communities in a manner consistent with caring for resources.

Of almost 50 National Heritage Corridors throughout the county, TLGV is the only one to adopt a comprehensive Sustainability Plan to ensure this organization's work continues beyond 2015 without federal funding.  Your contribution this year is more important than ever.  Our goal to be self-sufficient by the year 2015 will not be possible without your active involvement and participation.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, all gifts to The Last Green Valley, Inc. are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
